From Blog Reader to Blog Writer

I have recently stumbled upon the world of blogging and am excited to have my very own to share with you all! I thought I would start off by telling you more about me and some of the items I plan to include in my blog.
I am 24 years old and was born and raised in New Mexico.  I have three younger brother ranging from age 22 to 2 1/2 years old.
In 2011, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Geography and one in German.  People always ask if I am fluent, and I am sad to say that I am not.  I can read, write, and get by on speaking for the most part, but my grammar and overall vocabulary is terrible.  I love to travel and would like to learn several other foreign languages.  Here are some of our pics from our most recent trip to Germany and France last year.

By day I am a senior manager for a Fortune 500 insurance company.  I work full time managing a claims operation and have advanced pretty quickly in my 2 and a half years with the company.  I love my job, but this blog allows me to fuel my creativity in a different way.
My boyfriend Steve and I have been together for 7 and a half years.  He is kind, sweet, and I could not ask for anyone better to share my life with.
Last year we bought our very first home.  It is a brand new 3 bedroom 2 bath and is perfect for the two of us.  I will definitely be sharing some before and after pics as I continue to decorate around the house.

I love food, but I am not the greatest cook.  I can follow recipes like a pro though, so I will try out some new ones every now and then.  I love to entertain and am always looking for any reason to invite people over to our house for some good food and fun.
I am a DIY junkie and love to create beautiful things for our home and as gifts for others.  I get most of my inspiration from Pinterest and talented folks on Etsy.  I will be sure to share anything recent that I create and hopefully I can help inspire some of you!
When I try to define my style I would have to say feminine with a classic touch.  I love girly details such as ruffles, bows, and flowers, but try to pair them with basic neutrals for the perfect outfit.
Overall I would say I am a hard working girly girl, who loves spending time with friends and family, crafting, and just enjoying the little things in life.
Hopefully you got to know me just a little bit better, but if you want to know anything else just ask!
Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
