I wanted to give you all an update on my weight loss mission.  I have lost about 5 more pounds for a grand total of 19.  At this point I am feeling good because the clothes that were once tight on me are now fitting with ease.  I still have a long way to go and want to lose about 30 more pounds by June.  Why June, you ask? Well I just found out that I will be going on an all expense paid Caribbean cruise in June! When my boss told me the good news I was so excited, but the first word that came to mind was swimsuit...yikes!
My plan between now and then is to workout hard and start making better choices in my diet. I have started the piloxing program and will be done with that by mid March.  In addition I have been doing Zumba twice a week and will start running in February (see above for 3 mile training guide).  Lauren Conrad's post about eliminating certain foods for a month is great, so I will start that in February as well.  Last but not least, on March 1st I will be starting P90X.  I have the program and it is amazing, but I have never actually completed it.
I know this all sounds ambitious, but I really really want it.  The last quote sums up my motivation perfectly.  I just want to be able to wear cute clothes and feel good.
What are some of your workout/healthy eating tips?

Healthy Rice Bowl

This is a delicious and light meal that I have been eating for dinner lately.  It only takes about 20 minutes to make and is about 250 calories.

You'll need:

1 cup of brown rice
1 can of black beans
1 Roma tomato ( I used cherry tomatoes, but either is fine)
2-3 sprigs of cilantro
1/2 of a lime

First cook the rice in a rice cooker according to the directions. In the meantime take the can of black beans and warm them up in a small pan. Next start dicing the tomato and chopping the cilantro. Once the rice is finished cooking, combine all of the ingredients into a bowl and squeeze lime juice over
everything. Voila...you have a yummy and nutritious meal!

Note: I normally don't use all of the beans and rice, so I have some leftover for the next day.

I hope you enjoy!

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a good week. Mine was pretty busy at work, so I am so grateful that the weekend is finally here.

I wanted to share some more pics of our home, so my plan is to show one room at a time. We still have a lot to do, but I am happy with our progress so far.

This is our guest bedroom and my goal here was to keep it neutral and calm. I love this comforter that I found online at kohls a while back. Next step is to hang up some art on the walls and add some curtains.

I'll keep you posted on any changes, but thanks for stopping by for now!
